Fishing in a Hurricane
Report Date: October 4, 2004
Well folks, this has been a fall to remember!!!
I don't ever remember in all my born days having 4 hurricanes hit us here in Florida in a period of 6 weeks. Most of us Floridians feel we have a bull's eye on our state.
Needless to say, the fishing has been non existant. After one storm blew through, before the water cleared up to fish, Bam!, another one moved in!! The Gulf coast has been hit hard
over and over again.
But, I'm hoping we have said good bye to the last hurricane of the season and now we can get back to fishing.

Fall is one of my favorite times on the Gulf.
The weather cools, low humidity days, gentle breezes flow, bright blue skies and the fish are hungry. Plenty of baitfish abound and that means plenty of feeding fish.
Trout, redfish, spanish mackerel, ladyfish, jack crevalle, sharks, bluefish and many more will be roaming the flats looking for food.
